Hidden Treasures
For years, our old neighborhood held an annual Easter egg hunt. Days before Easter, a couple of hundred plastic eggs would be filled with candy, coins and a select few would have a dollar bill placed in the empty cavity. Kids would scurry from yard to yard picking up as many eggs as possible. Screams of delight would come when they would gather to open the eggs and find the hidden treasures placed in each egg. The tomb of Jesus was empty on that first Easter, but in reality, it too was filled with treasures that should cause us to shout praises in delight even more than kids finding candy or a few dollars in a plastic egg.
