Faithful with What Isn’t Yours
#28 in Luke: Ministry & Parables
Chase Bowers
Luke 16:1-13
1. A manager discovers that his stewardship is ending.
“Give an account of your management, because you can no longer be manager.” – Luke 16:2
2. He acts decisively to secure a welcome.
“The master commended the dishonest manager for his shrewdness.” – Luke 16:8
3. Jesus turns that earthly welcome toward eternity.
“Make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous wealth, so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings.” – Luke 16:9
4. Money reveals our trust and our master.
“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much.” – Luke 16:10
Big Idea: Because our future is secure in Christ, we are free to use temporary wealth for eternal purposes.
