Online Gathering (Coronavirus update)

The body of Christ has always been called to gather physically to worship, build community and live on mission. Since we cannot do that right now we are taking advantage of the gift of technology! Overflow High School Live will air weekly Thursdays 8 pm right here on our YouTube channel and on the TBC Facebook page. In addition, our incredible leaders will pursue students through weekly Zoom meetings. If you are new to TBC and would like to connect with a leader for your grade and gender for these weekly Zoom meetings, e-mail HS Pastor Dave Tate davet@tbcweb.org.

Impact 2020 (Coronavirus update)

May 26, 2020 Update-Since we are limited in opening the building for large groups, we cannot move forward with camp or clubs as we laid out in early April. However, we believe we can move Impact Clubs online through live stream during the week of July 20-23. We envision a morning slot and evening slot (both identical) that parents and kids can watch from home. We will still incorporate gospel stories, Bible stories and skits, with some additional elements mixed in. We envision some things being pre-recorded and others being live.

We're trying to balance several things: How do we share the gospel with families of our city? How do we involve as many of our students as possible? How do we do it all within our building guidelines?

So we are offering to our 10-12th graders (based on grade you just finished) an opportunity to help us with this plan. We would bring you in for certain time slots in smaller groups during week of July 20-23. We would never have more than 10 of you here at a time. Unfortunately, this means we would not be able to include 7-9th grades but for you all, there will be many more opportunities in the future!

Kim Ransleben and Meagan Fulcher will work on assignments for who's doing what and they will be contacting 10-12th grades soon through e-mail to divide up those assignments. This means we will not be doing traditional teams at all.

We still plan to use July 13-16 as a "camp" or rehearsal but we would do so in smaller groups for time slots during that week to work on your element. This may also be a time for us to do some pre-recorded segments that will be used in the live show the next week.

For our 10-12th graders, please let us know (e-mail Dave davet@tbcweb.org) if you are no longer able to continue with Impact as planned. If any of you drop out, then we may need to offer some elements to our current 9th grade class.

Thank you all for being patient with us as plans keep changing! Just know God is sovereign! Our plan C is His plan A for this year! We are just grateful we can still do something and look forward to the opportunity this has presented the body at TBC!
