TBC Worship Team Auditions
We're so glad you're interested in serving with TBC Worship! Our team is made up primarily of volunteers who want to use their musical gifts to serve the body of Christ. We believe worship is more than just Sunday morning songs—it’s a lifestyle. That’s why we ask all team members to actively participate in a small group or other TBC ministry.
To join the team, you should have a strong sense of rhythm and dynamics. Vocalists should be able to sing melody and harmony by ear, and instrumentalists should be comfortable playing from chord charts and matching the feel of reference recordings.
Auditions are always open, though space is limited and placement may not be immediate. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Mark at markr@tbcweb.org.
What to Prepare
VOCALISTS
- Sing a verse, chorus, and bridge of Bethel's “Goodness of God” (acapella in the key of your choice).
- Sing harmony on the chorus of a worship song of your choice (sing along with Spotify, YouTube, etc)
- Optional: sing 1 verse and 1 chorus of a song of your choice.
- Optional: submit any video or audio of you performing in a live or studio setting.
NOTES FOR INSTRUMENTALISTS
- Film/record yourself playing along with the songs listed above.
- Your performance does not need to be note-for-note, but it should capture the essence of the song, main licks and riffs of the song, etc.
- Pay special attention to your dynamics and arrangement of the songs. For example, if the bass is out on verse 1, the bass player should refrain from playing in that moment.
Submission Process
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- We accept all auditions via video submissions. (Nothing fancy required. Filming with your cell phone is perfectly fine!)
- If you want to audition for multiple instruments, you will need to submit separate videos for each, though vocals + guitar or piano can be submitted as one video.
- We will view all videos and email you back to let you know if you’ve been asked to continue in the audition process.
- Expect a response within 2 weeks.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR AUDITION
- Please submit video by uploading it to YouTube or by sharing the video file via Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar.
- Copy and paste the link to your video in an email.
- Submit your video audition by emailing markr@tbcweb.org.
- Complete the application form below after emailing your video.
