In 3 John we read about two men, Gaius and Diotrephes. Gaius is walking in truth, building up the church and showing hospitality to missionaries. Diotrephes is walking in lies, tearing down the church and causing division. So often the church is a living contradiction...glorious and messy at the same time. But how respond to that reveals whether or not the Gospel has truly penetrated our own hearts and minds.
