The disciples are “between a rock and a hard place!” Jesus has announced that He is leaving them (13:33) and next He will tell them they will be hated by others (15:18; 16:1). Sandwiched between this difficult news are truths that they/we can live by when He is gone and hard times come. Today, Jesus comforts them/us by saying even though He is gone they/we will still be connected to Him.
