HENSON FAMILY
PERU
The Henson’s have been serving in Cusco, Peru for 12 years. Their primary ministry focus is on Christ centered medical care, care for orphans, and evangelism and discipleship of young health care professionals. They seek to accomplish this by serving as the directors of La Fuente Centro de Salud Integral and Casa Josefina orphanage. Their heart is to share the love of Christ and meet the physical needs within their community in Peru.
PRAYER HIGHLIGHTS
Kristen received a phone call recently from an agency in Cusco that deals with abandoned children. They were asking for a spot in the Josephine House orphanage for five children that had been taken by the state after a raid on an illegal facility. Unfortunately, the orphanage was already at its capacity limit. The Hensons were able to find some more beds and supplies for the children, by hiring some additional workers. They also decided to move one of the children to their house under a foster care agreement with the government. They will continue to care for him until the Lord opens up an opportunity for him to have his forever family. Please pray with the Henson’s that God would direct this process and provide everything that is needed.
