Women’s Morning Bible Study: 1&2 Kings
In 1 and 2 Kings, the Kingdom of God divides into two, a northern ( Israel) and a southern kingdom (Judah) under the leadership of a series of flawed kings. Despite spiraling sin and destruction, God’s Spirit remained present with his people through prophets like Elijah and Elisha. God kept hope alive that his perfect king, the anointed one, would indeed come from the line of Judah in the years to come and would pour His Spirit out upon the people. In Acts, we will see this Holy Spirit come with power upon the disciples, as they shared the good news of the Kingdom of God.
For our fall study, we will be using the book, 1 and 2 Kings (Lifechange), produced by Navigators. It is an inductive Bible study guide with daily homework questions and optional questions and suggestions in the margins on topics of: “Optional Application”, “For Thought and Discussion”, and “For Further Study.” Books can be purchased online on Amazon, Christianbook and Barnes & Noble; or you can order it through the church (indicate on online registration) until August.
