The Psalm of the Cross
Writing over 1,000 years before the birth of Christ, David gives details about a form of execution...crucifixion...that was totally unknown to him. Psalm 22 records more details about the future crucifixion of Christ than any other section of Scripture. When Christ’s words from the cross crescendo across heaven, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” he was quoting the words of David that foreshadowed his atoning death!
