The King of Glory
Psalm 24 is the final Psalm in a trilogy of Psalms commonly called the “Shepherd Psalms.” Psalm 22 pictures Christ as the Good Shepherd;
Psalm 23...the Great Shepherd; Psalm 24...the Chief Shepherd. Historically, this Psalm has been associated with the return of the Ark to Jerusalem by David. Currently, in liturgical churches, this Psalm is read on Ascension Sunday, which occurs forty days after Easter. Prophetically, Psalm 24 looks ahead to the return of Christ as the conquering King...the King of Glory!
