Peace WITH God

Romans 5:1-2

We can find certain levels of peace in this world, and things to pacify our anxious souls. But there is a foundational anxiety that can never be quieted apart from our justification. A person cannot be fulfilled inwardly, no matter what he does, no matter what he has, if he is estranged from his Creator, if he is at war with God. – R.C. Sproul

Romans 5:3-5

If we face suffering with a clear grasp of justification by grace alone, your joy in that grace will deepen. On the other hand, if you face suffering with a mindset of justification by works, the suffering will break you, not make you. – Tim Keller

Romans 5:6-8

Anxiety seems to be an intense desire for something, accompanied by a fear of the consequences of not receiving it. – John Piper

Peace OF God

Philippians 4:4-6

I have yet to meet a chronic worrier who enjoys an excellent prayer life. – D.A. Carson

Philippians 4:7

We do not get the peace OF God until we have Peace WITH God.
